Yousup Faruqu, the new MD of Microsoft Bangladesh

Md. Yousup Faruqu Has been appointed as the new managing director (MD) of Microsoft in Bangladesh. This information was given in a notification sent to the media from Microsoft Bangladesh on Sunday (September 5). Yousup Faruqu has worked for companies like VMware, Banglalink and Symbiosis Bangladesh. Suk Hun Chiah, General Manager, Southeast Asia New Markets, Microsoft Asia Pacific, said, “Bangladesh is one of the fastest growing economies in the Asia-Pacific region. We are proud to be able to help Bangladesh achieve its goal of becoming a developed country by 2041 and empower the country. One of the means to achieve this goal is to make IT-enabled public services dynamic and increase the use of cloud services in the country. It is here that Yousup Faruqu's industry experience will play an important role in ensuring the adoption of cloud services in the country, enhancing the relevant skills and ensuring positive transformation through the cloud. I am thrilled to see how he and his team can work together and build capacity in a market full of continuous innovation.” Yousup Faruqu said, “I’m so honored to be on this exciting journey with Microsoft as we focus on Bangladesh’s digital transformation and cloud adoption.
